Our Story

Nancy Briggs Guilmette the owner of C'est Cheese was a personal chef for years.  She catered parties and planned social culinary events featuring hors d'oeuvres, cheese and specialty foods!

It was a trip to the picturesque region of Brittany, France in 2001 that sparked Nancy's desire to start a cheese shop in NH. She envisioned the shop to have the European charm and gourmet flare that made the quaint shops of France so enchanting!

In January 2003, that dream became a reality at the first location in North Hampton, NH. Her vision translated into a gorgeous shop that captured the feel of Europe and introduced cheeses and gourmet food from all around the world to our beautiful Seacoast of  New Hampshire! The concept of C'est Cheese being a tasting store and a place everyone can feel comfortable  was received so well by the community!

The move to 61 Lafayette Rd in 2011 enhanced theabilityfor us to be more accessible to the public with our free standing building and ample parking!

Customer Raves

"The best cheese shop in the seacoast. Nancy and all her staff are great. They truly have a passion for cheese. Their market features lots of other great gourmet items too, but for us it's really all about the cheese. Our favorites are the Delice de Bourgogne triple creme brie and the St. Agur blue cheese. Keep up the good curd!                                  ~Joshua C. Hampton, NH

"What a great store!  Stopped by here to find a specific cheese and ended up walking out with what i was looking for as well as two other cheeses, salami and pepperoni.  They were all delicious!  Nancy showed me several types of cheeses and let me sample each one of them so I could get exactly what I liked.  I also met the owner of the store, Nancy, who was just lovely and wants to make sure all of her customers are treated well with great service.  The store also has many other things including, pastas, sauces, chocolates and wine.  A must stop by and see for yourself!“                    ~ Sherry M.
